Pet Preventative Wellness and Vaccinations

Wellness, or preventive care, is critical to ensuring that your pet has a long, healthy, and happy life.

Pet Preventative Care and Examinations in Clark, PA

Vaccines come to mind when most people think of preventive care for their pets. While immunizations are critical, there are four other aspects of preventive care that are equally crucial.

Preventative Wellness and Vaccinations
Your pet will benefit greatly from regular preventative wellness examinations or checkups. Whether your pet is a youngster, a senior, or any age in between, preventative wellness examinations provide an excellent opportunity for us to conduct a thorough physical examination and develop a health profile for your pet. This information will help us identify medical problems and any other issues that can affect your pet’s health and quality of life.

A preventative wellness examination includes an evaluation of all of your pet’s major organ systems. We’ll use the wellness visit to ask your questions about your pet’s behavior, appetite, exercise habits, and regular activities at home. This also is an excellent time for us to discuss any routine diagnostic testing that may benefit your pet or to recommend any vaccinations that may be due. We also offer microchips for permanent identification that can be used for your Pennsylvania dog licenses.

Vaccinations play a crucial role in effective wellness care. They protect your pet against a wide array of preventative and deadly disease, and your Happy Tales veterinarian can advise you which vaccinations your best friend needs and when.
